Mission Statement
The Four Seasons Youth Orchestra is a
non-profit organization, self-supporting through tuition, grants and private
donation. Our youth music programs
work in accordance with Southern California School Band and Orchestra
Association guidelines, so that symphony members bring their experience and
knowledge to the music programs at the public schools they attend. The program is tier-based and allows
young musicians at all levels of expertise to participate.
Our Music Director, Dr. Roger Hickman, liberally infuses our concerts with music history anecdotes, educating and entertaining both the audience and the young musician. We have recently taken musicians on performance tours to New York’s Carnegie Hall as well as such diverse locales as China, Austria, France, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Australia and, most recently Italy.
We offer scholarships to any student with financial need. We also have many volunteer opportunities.
